The things we do every day are called our daily routines. Here are the words and phrases for the things we do every morning, at work, in the evening and at weekends.

1a. In the morningفي الصباح

Here are the words and phrases for the things we do every morning:

The alarm clock goes off in the morning and then we put the alarm clock off.

After the alarm goes off, we wake up.

We then get up.

We then take / have a shower, or have a wash and clean our teeth.

After a shower, we dry our hair.

Men need to have a shave.

Women may put on make up.

We all comb / brush our hair.

To put on your clothes is called to get dressed.

We need to eat so we have breakfast.

If we go to work by car, we start the car.

Then we leave home and go to work.

If you have a dog, you need to take the dog for a walk.

2b. Workingفي العمل

Here are the words and phrases for the things we do at work.

People who live a long distance from their work have to commute to work.

We start work when we arrive.

Sometimes we are late for work.

We have lunch in the middle of the day.

During the day we have breaks, and sometimes have tea breaks.

At the end of the day we finish work and go home.

The time we have to spend at work is called our working hours.

3c. In the eveningفي المساء

What do you do in the evening? Do you go out or do you stay in? Here are the words and phrases for the things we do in the evening:

After work we usually get home at about 5:30pm.

When we get home we have something to eat.

Then we might relax and read the newspaper.

We might watch the TV or go out for the evening.

Usually we just stay in.

When we feel tired we go to bed.

Before we go to bed we get undressed.

If we need to get up at a certain time we set the alarm clock.

Sometimes we have a problem and cannot get to sleep.

4d. At weekendsفي آخر الاسبوع

What do you do at the weekend? Do you do the housework or do you just relax? Here are the words and phrases for the things we might do at the weekends:

To buy food we do the shopping at the supermarket.

We may have to do the housework.

The housework might be ironing, dusting, hoovering or cleaning. We do all of these.

To clean our clothes, we do the washing.

In the summer we may do the garden.

If the grass on the lawn is long we have to cut the grass.

Many people wash their car at the weekend.
