Spiced Apples and Pork Chops

  • 1/2 cup Smucker's? Apple Jelly
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 unpeeled baking apples, cored and sliced
  • 4 (1-inch thick) pork chops
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Crisco? Pure Vegetable Oil


  1. HEAT oven to 350°F. Microwave jelly, cinnamon, allspice and garlic salt in medium microwave-safe bowl on HIGH 1 minute. Whisk until smooth. Stir in onion. Microwave on HIGH 1 minute. Stir in apples to coat. Set aside.
  2. SEASON pork chops generously on both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. HEAT oil in large oven proof skillet over medium-high heat. Cook pork chops in hot oil until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes.
  4. SPOON apple mixture over pork chops. Place skillet in oven. Bake 15 minutes or until internal temperature of pork reads at least 145°F for medium-rare, 160°F for medium. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
