Fresh Peach Tart

  • Single crust Classic Crisco? Pie Crust
  • 8 tablespoons Smucker's? Peach Preserves, divided
  • 5 to 6 tablespoons Pillsbury BEST? All Purpose Flour
  • 6 1/2 cups (6 to 8) peeled, sliced large fresh peaches, divided
  • 1 teaspoon hot water
  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream


  1. PREPARE single pie crust according to recipe directions, using a 9-inch pie plate; do not bake. Spread 3 tablespoons peach preserves over pie shell bottom and sides.
  2. MIX flour with 4 1/2 cups sliced peaches in medium bowl. Arrange peach slices in pie shell, slightly overlapping the slices.
  3. ARRANGE remaining 2 cups peach slices on top of floured slices.
  4. MIX 2 tablespoons peach preserves and hot water in small bowl. Brush on top of peach slices, making sure all slices are coated.
  5. BAKE at 450oF 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 375oF; bake an additional 35 to 40 minutes or until peaches are tender and pastry is light brown. Place tart on wire rack.
  6. HEAT remaining 3 tablespoons peach preserves in small saucepan over moderate heat until bubbly. Brush over peaches thoroughly. Cool tart completely.
  7. SERVE with vanilla ice cream.
